Join us for a talk and reading by C. James Trotman, Ph.D. author of a new biography of Frederick Douglass, best known for his extraordinary life in politics and civil rights. Founder of the Frederick Douglass Institute at West Chester University, Professor Trotman presents the life and times of this great American by emphasizing the spiritual aspects of his life in his relationship to the Suffragette Movement, President Lincoln, John Brown and others who were the headliners of the age. Sales of the book will go towards the construction of a statue of Frederick Douglass on the West Chester University campus.
